Hyperlinks
All hyperlinks are displayed in underlined text so the user knows they are links. Visited links change color using the browser default colors. Links are used in text and to show movement within the site as opposed to buttons which demonstrate action items or navigation (see User Controls – Buttons).
Off-site links open in a new browser window and have a link indicator icon inline after the link text []. For accessibility, the identifying icon has an alt and title attribute, both stating, "Navigate away from NCTracks."
File links have a link indicator icon depending on the file type (see User Controls - Icons). The file link indicator icon is inline before the link text. The file size is also specified.
Each page contains a Page Tools area in the upper right of the screen (see User Controls - Page Tools) which has context-sensitive icons for each applicable page including print, text scaling and other user controls.
