Resolution of Issue with NC Medicaid Direct Eligibility

You are being notified of a reported issue that affected NC Medicaid Direct members.  

Approximately 10,000 current NC Medicaid Direct members may not have shown current eligibility in the NCTracks system starting Friday, Feb. 3, 2023 around noon. Most beneficiary eligibility was reinstated by Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023. The issue is fully resolved as of Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023.  

If providers received claim denials for dates of service Feb. 3, 2023 through Feb. 6, 2023 due to Medicaid ineligibility, we encourage providers to confirm beneficiary eligibility in NCTracks and refile the claim.
