New Medicaid Bulletin Articles as of Aug. 14

The NC Division of Health Benefits (DHB) has recently published new Medicaid Bulletin articles:

• Refresher: Be Sure to Disclose on Provider Application Exclusion Sanction Questions- GDIT will no longer request supplemental information for undisclosed items discovered during the credentialing and background check process.
• Ordering, Prescribing, or Referring (OPR) Provider Requirements for Hospital Outpatient Specialized Therapies (OST) Claims- Effective Sept. 1, 2024, hospital OST claims submitted to NCTracks must include the individual OPR NPI.
• Ambulance Response and Treatment Coverage Code Temporarily Paused- Effective July 30, 2024, NC Medicaid temporarily paused coverage of HCPCS code A0998 (Ambulance response and treatment, no transport).
• 2023 Medicaid Provider Experience Survey Report Released- Describes findings from the third assessment of provider experience and satisfaction with the NC Medicaid program.
