New Medicaid Bulletin Articles as of Dec. 22

The NC Division of Health Benefits (DHB) has recently published new Medicaid Bulletin articles:

• Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Rate Reduction Update- NC Medicaid is advising of a phased-in process for the reinstatement of non-emergency medical transportation rates to those in effect Sept. 30, 2025.
• NC Medicaid to Reinstitute Coverage of GLP-1s for Weight Management- Effective Dec. 12, 2025, coverage for GLP-1s for the treatment of obesity will be reverted to the coverage available as of Sept. 30, 2025.
• Medicaid Rate Reduction Reversal Update- This bulletin applies to NC Medicaid Direct and NC Medicaid Managed Care.
• Behavioral Health National Accreditation Requirements Provider Update-This announcement is for NC Medicaid and Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Use Services State Funded Behavioral Health Providers.
