Inactive NCID accounts removed after 18 months

Providers and Trading Partners should be aware that NCID accounts (business and individual) are removed after 18 months of inactivity. If you enter claims, prior approval requests, or otherwise access the NCTracks Provider portal regularly, this will not be a problem. However, if you are a Trading Partner who uses secure FTP to submit transactions to NCTracks and does not log on to the Provider portal, your NCID does not register as having any activity. Trading Partners who use secure FTP are encouraged to log on to the NCTracks portal at least once a quarter to maintain your NCID account. Once an NCID account is removed, the user must obtain a new NCID and be provisioned again for access to NCTracks.

For more information, see the State NCID website at https://www.ncid.its.state.nc.us. (Note that accessing the NCID portal at https://ncid.nc.gov also counts towards activity.)
