New Medicaid Bulletin Articles Available as of Sept. 12

The NC Division of Health Benefits (DHB) has recently published new Medicaid Bulletin articles:

• Quarterly Provider Update – Summer 2026 - Including a behavioral health post-enrollment accreditation update, recent provider communications and more.
• Credit Balance Audits Update - NC Medicaid has contracted with Health Management Systems to conduct Overpayment Recovery Reviews for Medicaid beneficiaries.
• CAA 5121 Justice-Involved Re-entry Care Management Services Launch Fall 2026 - NC Medicaid Launching New Services for Eligible Justice -Involved Youth under CAA 5121 in all Youth Development Centers.
• Updated Utilization Review Requirements for Eligible Inpatient Hospitals - Updating the date format requirement for Hospital UR Plan submission.
• Recent Behavioral Health Enrollment Updates for Organizations - Important information for Behavioral Health organization providers, including those enrolled in taxonomy 251S00000X.
• PCS Internal Audit Changes - Providers selected for quarterly NC Medicaid Internal Audits will be notified only using the QiRePort Provider Interface.
