Provider Enrollment Update for Taxonomy 103K00000X (Behavior Analyst)

Effective Aug. 2nd 2026, individual provider enrollment under taxonomy 103K00000X (Behavior Analyst) is limited to in-state and border providers in accordance with Session Law 2026-1, Section 3C.18(c).  Pending applications for enrollment under this taxonomy will continue to process.

This change was also announced in the NC Medicaid bulletin, "Reminder: Requirements for Research-Based Behavioral Health Treatment Service Delivery," although the effective date originally published (April 30, 2026) changed to Aug. 2, 2026.

At this time, no adverse action will be taken for providers currently enrolled under this taxonomy with an out-of-state designation.
