Pharmacy Prior Approval Course Available (Multiple Dates)

A Pharmacy Prior Approval (PA) Instructor Led Training (ILT) course is available to providers on multiple dates. The course is taught via WebEx. WebEx courses can be attended remotely from any location with a telephone, computer and internet connection, limited to 115 participants. Following are details on the course, including dates, times and how to enroll.

  • Friday, September 8, 2017 -- 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, September 12, 2017-- 10:00 a.m. to noon
  • Thursday, September 14, 2017 -- 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Monday, September 18, 2017 -- 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
  • Friday, September 22, 2017 -- 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Monday, September 25, 2017 -- 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

This course will cover submitting Pharmacy Prior Approval Requests, to help ensure compliance with Medicaid clinical coverage policy and medical necessity. It will also cover Prior Approval inquiry to check on the status of the Pharmacy PA Request.

Training Enrollment Instructions

Providers can register for the course in SkillPort, the NCTracks Learning Management System. Logon to the secure NCTracks Provider Portal and click Provider Training to access SkillPort. Open the folder labeled Provider Computer-Based Training (CBT) and Instructor Led Training (ILT). The course can be found in the sub-folder labeled ILTs: Remote via WebEx.
